What are DHGC “PACE OF PLAY” Rules?
DHGC strives to keep golf rounds at 4 hours or less. To accomplish this goal and so everyone enjoys their round, we need all DHGC members to adhere to and enforce the below rules:
- To keep play moving, do not search longer than 3-minutes for lost balls. Other golfers in the foursome must enforce this rule
- To keep play moving, WHILE ON THE GREEN, PREPARE FOR YOUR PUTT BEFORE IT’S YOUR TURN TO PUTT SO YOU ARE READY TO PUTT WHEN ITS YOUR TURN TO PUTT
- To keep play moving, pick up your ball if you double Par on a hole
- To keep play moving, play ready golf in your 4some
- To keep play moving, DO NOT WAIT FOR ANOTHER GOLFER TO HIT. DROP YOUR PARTNER OFF AT HIS BALL AND GO TO YOUR BALL SO YOU ARE READY TO HIT IMEDIATELY AFTER HE HITS
